Q: I have used previous versions of your logging softward (MacTEP, TEPX, etc) and had no problems with exporting lists to NLEs. Now I am having problems with our new HDLog software export.
The problem is that the FCP batch list does not give the Media Start and Media End timecodes. The Help documentation says that HDLog gives FCP the timecode In and timecode Out as Media Start and End. In my exports, it does not. So FCP tries to batch each clip beginning at 00:00;00;00.
I don't see any setting the export dialog in HDlog to tell it to use the TC In and Out number for Media start and end.
A: If your log file contains a Video field but no QuickTime movies linked, then the timecode values will be zero for the "media". The easy solution is to go into Edit View and change the properties of the Video field(s) to something else (like Text). Then switch back to a regular view and export to FCP Batch.
(HDLog is set to pass the QT files when you select either Batch or XML export because we had so many people using P2 media that were confused between the two.)
